What stays on the Android device

ArcRelay may store a random device identifier; the paired PC's name, network address, certificate fingerprint, and encrypted pairing token; app preferences; creator name; and controller layouts or artwork selected or created by the user.

The pairing token uses Android Keystore-backed encryption. Android backup and cleartext network traffic are disabled for ArcRelay.

What goes to the paired PC

When the user pairs or controls a PC, ArcRelay sends data directly to that selected PC over the chosen local connection. Depending on the feature, this can include the Android device model or name, random device identifier, pairing token, layouts, and live gamepad, sensor, keyboard, mouse, or media-control input.

ViroFactory does not receive this data through an ArcRelay server. We do not sell personal information, and the app contains no advertising or analytics SDK.

Camera and nearby-device access

Camera access is optional. It is used only while the user scans the pairing QR code displayed on the PC. ArcRelay does not save or transmit camera images.

Nearby-device access is optional. It is used only to find an ArcRelay PC over Bluetooth. Android 11 and earlier label Bluetooth scanning as a Location permission; ArcRelay does not determine, collect, or store the user's location.

Retention and deletion

Android data remains on the device until the user disconnects, chooses Settings → Delete all local data, clears app storage, or uninstalls ArcRelay. Deletion removes saved credentials, preferences, imported or created layouts, and cached artwork from that Android device.

The Windows PC keeps its own pairing record until the user revokes the phone in the Windows app or removes the Windows app's local data.

Security and audience

ArcRelay uses certificate-pinned TLS for pairing and authenticated encrypted controller messages for supported local transports. Users should pair only with a PC they recognize and use trusted local networks and devices.

ArcRelay is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through an ArcRelay cloud service because ArcRelay does not operate such a service.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when ArcRelay's features or legal obligations change. The effective date will change when material updates are published.
