Install and connect
- Download the latest Windows installer and open ArcRelay.
- Choose Pair a device on Windows.
- On Android, find the PC, scan its QR code, or enter its six-digit code.
- Verify the PC identity shown on the phone, then confirm pairing.
- Open a controller layout when you want to send input.
For Wi-Fi, keep both devices on the same trusted local network. For USB, connect a data-capable cable and enable USB tethering; USB debugging is not required.
Optional permissions
- Camera: used only to scan a pairing QR code. Enter the six-digit code instead if you prefer.
- Nearby devices: used only to find and connect to an ArcRelay PC over Bluetooth.
- Location on Android 11 and earlier: Android's legacy label for Bluetooth scanning. ArcRelay does not use location data.
Try the controller without a PC
On the Android connection screen, choose Try controller demo. The demo previews the controller locally and does not connect to a PC or send controller input.
Disconnect and delete data
- Choose Disconnect from PC to forget the saved PC on Android.
- Use Settings → Delete all local data to remove Android-local credentials, preferences, user layouts, and cached artwork.
- Also remove the phone from ArcRelay's paired-device list on Windows to fully revoke the pairing.
Troubleshooting
- Confirm ArcRelay is open on Windows before scanning.
- Use the same non-guest Wi-Fi network, or try USB tethering.
- Allow ArcRelay through Windows Firewall on private networks when prompted.
- Install the Windows virtual-controller driver linked by ArcRelay if controller output is unavailable.
- Pair again if Windows was reinstalled or the PC's ArcRelay identity changed.
